Architecture + Interior Design + Lighting + Furnishings + Millwork
A retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city that could accommodate occasional trips to New York was the aspiration of this couple with adult children. Ageloff Design Group refreshed their 1960’s, nondescript, two-bedroom home with a mixture of minor but impactful floorplan adjustments and an elevated materials palate, adhering to a budget and an aggressive timeline. The kitchen was opened to the living space to accommodate a new breakfast bar and expand both areas. The elegant teak kitchen finishes extend to the entry gallery and living room, connecting each room to the other for a spacious feel. Ageloff Design Group created lean, modern lines through concealed storage closets and fully integrated kitchen appliances that are hidden until used. An L-shaped sofa provides ample seating in the living area for gathering friends and family and a cozy haven after a busy day in the city. Serviceable materials, updated bathrooms with new finishes and fittings, and enhanced lighting make this an easily maintained and comfortable get-away for the whole family.
